




Amos Sedgewick - Cheif Instructor
Started the Padiham Kara Jutsu Bushido academy back in 1981.He practiced several arts including Karate, Judo, Ju Jitsu, Kobudo and Boxing.He has trained for over 40 years with many of the worlds top instructors in various art forms.
Today he holds the rank of 8th Dan and is the president of the BBF.He still attends the Padiham Dojo every week and is the instructor most students wish to train with on every national BBF course.
Jim Harrison - National coach
Sensei Harrison began training back in 1971 trying several art forms before meeting his long standing martial arts instructor Sensei Phil Standring, which he devoted to him for over 20 years studying the Shotokan Karate form.Sensei Harrison has competed in many competitions in the form of Kata (pre arranged movements in patterns) and Kumite (sparring) with many victories.
Today he holds the rank of 7th Dan and is the BBF’s National Coach, overseeing the coaching within the BBF
John Goulbourn - Senior Instructor
Sensei Goulbourn started training when he was 12 years old under Sensei A. Sedgwick. He began training in Ju Jitsu but later on incorporated Karate, Aikido and then went on to study Kobudo and Iaido.
Following his training over the last 28 years has had the pleasure of training under some of the world’s finest instructors in several art forms and now passes this knowledge onto others who wish to learn these arts. Since then has progressed into an experienced instructor who still has a passion for learning more of the Martial arts as well as instructing the Martial Arts.
He has attained several gradings in Karate, Aikido and Ju Jitsu. He now holds the rank of 3rd Dan. Also studied the healing arts of Shiatsu and Kuatsu and been awarded several diplomas in both disciplines.
